Tribute to Jacqui Jacqui was a good friend to many of us here in Frederick, Maryland. My oldest daughters met her first. They brought her home to meet my husband and me. Jacqui always liked to have fun. She took many of the teenagers around here to concerts in Washington, D.C. She was liked by all. She would often pop in at my home with a flower plant or something for my husband and me to enjoy. She was a generous lady. One time she brought me this beautiful red silk lounge robe with silver sequins on the sleeve. I still have it. Mary Ann and Sherry, my two older daughters took my younger daughter Christina, who was about five years old, to Jacqui’s home. They took a picture of Christina holding a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. The cigarette was of course not lit, and the beer can was empty, but the picture was very amusing. Jacqui took a few of us ladies from Frederick, Maryland to the Rabbit’s Foot, a local male strip club. She was throwing twenty-dollar bills up in the air everywhere. When we were leaving the club, she saw one of the dancers, and asked him ‘So how much it would cost for him to come to her house for a private show?” He, of course, blushed and continued on. Even though it has been years since Jacqui moved from Maryland, we still miss her popping in and the laughter she contributed to our family. ALL OUR LOVE TO JACQUI!
